LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Tech Red Raiders are still looking for their first conference win after losing Wednesday night to the #22 Kansas State Wildcats 69-47 at home. The loss marks the 7th straight for the Red Raiders as they struggle through conference play.
The bright side for the Red Raiders is in their future. The two Tech players to score in double figures were both freshman who are considered building blocks of the future of the program. Freshman forward Jordan Tolbert scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while freshman guard Kevin Wagner had a career high 16 points. Wagner is a Lubbock native graduating from Lubbock Estacado High School.
The Red Raiders will look for their first conference win again on the road Saturday. It will be no easy chore as they are taking on the #2 Missouri Tigers.
