South Overton house fire under investigation

Lubbock fire marshals are investigating what caused a house fire Thursday morning.  It happened in the 1800 block of 14th Street just before 10:30 a.m.

Neighbors say the home has been boarded up for years.

Flames could be seen from the windows and roof, but fire crews were able to put out the fire. High winds caused lots of smoke to go through the house and cover the street.
