Lady Raiders beat Texas, end skid

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders 5 game losing streak halted Saturday afternoon as they beat the Lady Longhorns from Texas 75-71 at the United Spirit Arena. Tech got back on the winning track after a tough stretch that included some disappointing conference losses.

Senior Jordan Barncastle picked a good time to have her best game of the season. She put up a double-double with a 19 points and 10 rebounds. Barncastle was one of four Lady Raiders to score in double digits. Shauntal Nobles had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Monique Smalls had 15 points and 8 assists. Christine Hyde had 11 points as well.

The win improves the Lady Raiders to 15-5 on the season and 3-5 in conference play. Next up for Tech is a home game Wednesday against Texas A&M.
