Wagner Park hosting Park Fit Challenge for February

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Wagner Park is the City of Lubbock's choice for the monthly Park Fit Challenge, a program established to help people of all ages stay healthy and fit.

Each month the office of Parks and Recreation in Lubbock chooses a park and holds a monthly challenge to stay fit. The challenge includes walking and jogging a featured trail of the month. During the walk or jog, a new exercise is incorporated for all ability levels.

February's exercise is back-strengthening bridges. Goals are set each week and prizes are given to participants in a monthly drawing for prizes.

A sign will display with the Fit Logo which will identify the park of the month. Take a picture with the sign and send to the Park Fit coordinator to enter a monthly drawing. The park is located at 26th Street and Flint Avenue. Detailed information can be found at City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation website here.
