Due to a recall, women could face pregnancy

Posted: Updated:

Due to a recall, about a million women face the risk of getting pregnant while taking birth control pills. Pfizer has recalled a million birth control packs because of an error that mixed up the active and inactive pills in the 28-day package.

Now, the world's biggest drug maker is pulling 14-lots of the Lo-Ovral tablets and 14-lots of a generic version of the pills. Pfizer says talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you're using one of the incorrect packages because you'll need to switch to a non-hormonal form of contraception immediately. Some packets were found to have too many pills with active ingredients. Others were found to have too few.
