Acne is a four letter word especially among teens who may feel their whole world is crumbling as one pimple is building strength.
Dr. Marcela Nur, a pediatrician who specializes in adolescent medicine, says there are a lot of companies that promise pretty skin for a hefty price. However, she wants teens to know the key ingredients that work are actually very cheap and contain the same ingredients, which are available at the corner drug store.
The ingredients you need to fight acne are benzoil peroxide and salicylic acid. Dr. Nur says if you don't see an improvement soon after using those, tell your doctor because there are even stronger medications in a prescription that can bring dramatic results.
