LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Two people were killed Friday after a truck and semi tractor trailer collided at the intersection of FM 41 and FM 179.

Department of Public Safety Sgt. Keith Smith says the Chevy Silverado truck was headed west on FM 41, and the semi was headed north on FM 179. Smith says they believe the semi failed to stop at the stop sign.

The daughter of Veronica Rodriguez and Refugio Olvera - Michelle Olvera, 4 - is listed in critical condition at UMC. All members of the family live in Wilson, TX.

Semi driver Joseph Gibson, 68, of Panhandle, TX was also taken to UMC. He was treated and released.
