Lubbock City Councilman Floyd Price announced that he will seek re-election on Tuesday.
Price, who represents District 2, made the announcement at City Hall Tuesday morning.
Price is a retired veteran of the Lubbock Police Department where he served for 33 years.
He also spent some time serving in the U.S. Army.
Price said he would address a multitude of issues, including the drought and making sure the city has plenty of water.
