The ice may be gone now, but Wednesday morning it played a part in an accident on I-27.

Around 5am, a white car hit a large patch of ice two miles south of New Deal on Interstate 27. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a guard rail. She was taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
