Jon Whitmore Inaugurated as Tech President

Jon Whitmore was inaugurated as the 14th president of Texas Tech University on Saturday.

Whitmore's inauguration speech announced new initiatives for students, staff, and faculty. This includes the plan to hire 100 new faulty members over the next three years as well as the new four year graduation contract.

Whitmore came to Tech form the University of Iowa and assumed the office of president in September.
