Beginning Wednesday, the Texas
Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the westbound MSF frontage road
to traffic at I-27. The closure will allow crews to perform bridge work and to
pour the last section of deck on the northbound I-27 bridge. The closure is
expected to remain in place for the next two weeks.
Westbound frontage road motorists will be
detoured north to Municipal Drive where they can take the southbound I-27
frontage road or Buddy Holly Avenue to reconnect with the freeway (US 82/4th
Street) frontage road and continue west.
Work is part of Phase 4 of the Marsha Sharp
Freeway project and will take place weather permitting.
