Friends & Family Say Goodbye to Ross Joiner

About 300 people gathered today at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church to say goodbye to Ross Joiner. Remember, he's the younger of two Lubbock brothers who were sent to Duke Medical Center for Stem Cell Transplants to treat the same rare disease.

We did not take cameras to the service today out of respect for the family. But since there have been so many fundraisers across the South Plains to help the Joiners, I wanted you to know that 2-year-old Ross was buried today in Lorenzo.

Reverend Dennis Williams told the crowd of mourners, "Ross is in heaven but the fight continues for Trevor." You see, Trevor couldn't come to his brother's funeral today because he is still undergoing treatment from the specialists at Duke.
