Posted: Updated:

Around 4:15 Thursday morning LPD and EMS were called to the 5700 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway to help an injured man.

Police say Clemmie Payne, 28, was standing in the roadway at 5700 Marsha Sharp Freeway after having been involved in a domestic dispute at a nearby apartment complex.

Laticia Henly, 26, was driving her Ford Taurus east bound. As she passed Payne, police say he ran into the side of her vehicle.

Payne had sustained a severe laceration to his foot from stepping on broken glass prior to the collision and was bleeding profusely.

Payne was taken to UMC in serious condition, but these injuries were not caused by the collision.
