'Buddy Holly Festival' Name Change

The Buddy Holly Festival is now the Lubbock, Texas, Music Festival.

The Lubbock City Council made the name-change official Thursday. The change came after negotiations with Maria-Elena Holly over naming rights were unsuccessful.

This fall's music festival will feature popular music from the past 60 years.
