Doctor Says Exercise is Best Solution for Back Pain

If you want some relief from back pain, your options include pain killers, physical therapy, chiropractors, surgery, acupuncture, and massage just to name a few, but Dr. Vijay Vad, a rehab specialist says most people don't even consider the simplest solution which is exercise because they assume it will make the pain worse.

"Vast majority of low back pain, 95% plus, is not a surgical solution, but a simple exercise program that kind of emphasizes flexibility, strength, and endurance that's done at least three times a week can go a long ways in reducing the recurrence of back problems," he explains.

Dr. Vad has come up with what he calls safe and effective exercises for back pain, and he's published it in a book called "Back RX." But be sure to talk to your doctor before you start an exercise program of your own.
