Lubbock Police have confirmed that two suspects in Monday night's fatal robbery at One Guy From Italy are in custody in Abilene. Lubbock Police are on their way to Abilene to pick up Sesilio Cabalero Lopez, 28, and Brian Suniga, 32.
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
32-year-old Brian Suniga and 28-year-old Sesilio Lopez were indicted and charged with murder on Feb. 14, but Tuesday the charges were upgraded to capital murder, meaning both suspects may face the death penalty.
26-year-old David Rowser was working at One Guy From Italy on 50th and Quaker on the day after Christmas.
Police say Suniga and Lopez came into the restaurant and demanded money, but when they couldn't get any, they grabbed the tip jar and started to run out.
Rowser came out from the bathroom area and was shot multiple times in the chest.
Rowser's younger brother was also working at One Guy that night and saw this brother being shot and killed.
Just days later, with the help from Crimeline tips from the community - police were able to track down Suniga and Lopez in Abilene.
They were arrested and brought to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Police say these two are associated with the Tango Blast gang.
Suniga and Lopez are still behind bars here in Lubbock - each with a one million dollar bond. Their charges could possible be upgraded to capital murder charges in the future.
