You've heard laughter is good medicine. If you combine it with yoga, you have a heart healthy work-out.
Patty Freier, Laughter Yoga leader, said, "We are uniting deep breathing and laughing, so part of what we're doing. We laugh really hard for 30mins, and it's a cardiovascular workout, so we are actually taking in more air. We're deep breathing, and we deliberately do deep breathing and stretching at the end."
Patty says Laughter Yoga is also a great tool in learning to control anger management as well. Already, her Laughter Yoga team has demonstrated this technique to more than 40 businesses and organizations in Lubbock.
