3 men arrested in elderly exploitation case

Three men have been arrested in connection to an exploitation of the elderly case.

Lubbock Police Department Property Crimes detectives identified the three men accused of stealing several thousand dollars from an elderly female through intimidation.

The men have been identified as Benjamin Franklin Smith 7-21-56, Clemmie Levester Smith 11-10-78, and Benjamin Franklin Smith Jr. 10-26-88, all of Amarillo.

Property Crimes detectives, with assistance from the Lubbock County District Attorney, obtained arrest warrants for these men yesterday afternoon. They were arrested by the Amarillo Police Department yesterday evening at a residence in Amarillo. They were booked into the Potter County Jail on felony theft charges with a $15,000 bond set for each.
