New Security Measures at Lubbock Animal Shelter

New security measures are in place at the Lubbock Animal Shelter two weeks after a volunteer apparently attempted to kill himself.

Lubbock police say the volunteer stole a drug used to euthanize animals last month and used it on himself. The drug was kept in a locked area of the shelter, but the man found a way to get it.

Now, new locks and other security measures are going into place to restrict access to certain chemicals and drugs.
