Family releases name of second victim in Slaton shooting

SLATON, TX (KCBD) -

Family members have released the name of the second victim in the shooting incident in Slaton that resulted in the death of Faye Gray, 89, on February 22nd.

Megan Moore, 21, of Slaton has been named by her family as the caregiver who suffered a head injury during the alleged attack. At last report, Moore is in critical condition at University Medical Center.

A benefit account has been set up to help the family with the financial burden of medical and personal expenses. People wanting to support the family can make a donation to the "Megan Moore Benefit Fund" at First Capital Bank of Lubbock, 6811 Indiana Ave., open Monday – Friday  8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Saturday 8am – Noon.

Faye Gray's funeral has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church, 525 Panhandle, in Slaton. In lieu of flowers, Gray's family is requesting donations be sent to Slaton Meals on Wheels.
