Two people were injured according to DPS in a crash Monday night at Woodrow Road and F.M. 179. Two passenger cars hit head on. Names and conditions have not been released.
Although an official cause of the crash has not been released visibility at the time was reduced by fog.
The National Weather Service in Lubbock says officially visibility at the airport was one half mile during the time in question. It would later go down to a quarter of a mile with localized reports of visibility down to 50 yards.
Shortly after the first crash, there was a one-vehicle accident at 1585 and Highway 84 near Slaton. DPS says a driver could not see a curve along 1585 because of the fog, ran over a stop sign, went across the median of 84, and hit the embankment on the other side.
She suffered minor injuries, according to DPS.
