Drowsy Driving Contributes to Accident

Lubbock Police have a warning for all drivers, "Don't drive when you're tired!"

Drowsy driving is believed to be the cause of an accident early Wednesday morning. Just before 4am in the 2600 block of 2nd Place. Police say 47-year-old Shirley Brown was falling asleep at the wheel when she hit a parked car, ran up a curb and struck a few small trees and shrubs. Brown suffered minor injuries.
