LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock father is facing criminal charges after police say he drove drunk with his baby in the backseat.

Austin Dean Estes, 32, has been charged with Driving while Intoxicated with a child under the age of 15. According to court documents, Estes was pulled over in Wolfforth on February 16th. At around 2 a.m., police say they spotted Estes driving extremely slow and swerving across the lanes of traffic.

Police say they smelled alcohol in the vehicle so they conducted a field sobriety test. A preliminary breath test showed Estes' blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
