Excel Corporation says re-opening Mexico to some U.S. beef products will not bring back any packing plant jobs.

In January, Excel cut 600 jobs across the country as a result of the mad cow case in Washington. Up to 150 jobs at the plant in Plainview were lost, and employees at Excel's Friona plant were also laid off.

Excel is a leading processor of fresh beef, pork and fully prepared meats sold around the world.
