Denver City girl dies in Saturday morning accident

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating an early Saturday morning accident that killed a child and left an adult seriously injured, according to the Seminole Sentinel.

The newspaper states a 2011 Ford F-250 pickup was traveling eastbound on U.S. 62/180 around 1 a.m. The vehicle appeared to have entered into the median, causing it to rollover.

A 10-year-old Denver City girl was pronounced dead on the scene. Her father was driving and taken to Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, N.M, according to the Seminole Sentinel.

Names have not been released.
