South Plains Texans headed to national tournament

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The #1-ranked South Plains Texans are headed to the Junior College national tournament with an 84-74 win over Howard College in the Region 5 Tournament final.

Former Red Raider Marshall Henderson had 32 points in the victory, while Yanick Moreira had 12 points and 7 rebounds.

They will now move on to the round of 16 teams in the national tournament with a 32-0 record on the season.
