Lady Raiders win WNIT opener

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Playing at the United Spirit Arena, the Lady Raiders knocked off Eastern Illinois 85-71 in a first round WNIT game. Shauntal Nobles led Tech with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Lady Raiders notch their 20th win of the season.

Three other Lady Raiders scored in double figures: Casey Morris 17, Chynna Brown 14 and Monique Smalls 13. This was the first ever meeting between Tech and the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Raiders (20-13) advance to a WNIT 2nd round game where they will host Tulane 2pm Sunday the United Spirit Arena.
