Lubbock County employees rally to help rebuild fire-damaged home

NEW DEAL, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock County employees are collecting donations to help a Deputy District Clerk who suffered a fire in her home on Monday.

Gladys Owen was forced to leave her childhood home in New Deal where she lived with two siblings.

Anticipating the cost of repairs, the First Baptist Church in New Deal has established the "FBC New Deal Love Fund - Owens Family" at the First State Bank of Abernathy.
