Medical Students Get Matched With Hospitals - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

It's a big day for Texas Tech medical students. Thursday is what's known in the medical world as "Match Day."

At 11 a.m. Thursday, fourth year med students opened envelopes at the same time. Inside the envelope was the news they've been waiting for, hospital matches for the students. That means the students found out where they will complete their residencies.

Match Day is a nationwide event for all medical students.
