The investigation into the death of a 17-month-old baby has turned into a waiting game. Lubbock county investigators now say it could take up to two weeks to have the answers they need. That's when, lab results are expected to be final.
Investigators need both the lab results and the autopsy results to find out why Esperidian Garcia stopped breathing at his East Lubbock County home Tuesday morning. The child was taken off life support Wednesday afternoon and died.
Authorities say the death does look suspicious.
