Lubbock police are searching for a suspect who they say assaulted a Family Dollar store employee who approached him about stealing items from the store.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s.

The incident occurred on March 7 at approximately 11:45 a.m. at the Family Dollar at 2636 Parkway Drive.

The Lubbock Police Department urges anyone with any information relating to this case to contact Crime Line at 741-1000 or text your tip to 274637.
