South Plains College captures second NJCAA National Championship

The SPC Texans completed their perfect season (36-0) Saturday as they defeated Northwest Florida State, 81-68 to win the school's second National Championship.

With the victory, the Texans became the first team since 1998 to finish the season without a loss.

South Plains College was led by sophomore guard Marshall Henderson with 32 points. Stanton Kidd reached double figures as well.

Head Coach Steve Green earned his 301st win as head coach and his second National Championship at South Plains.
