A new study finds air-popped popcorn is low in calories, high in fiber, and has more polyphenols, an antioxidant, than fruits and vegetables! The challenge is avoiding all the butter and salt that can bring other health problems. Air-popped is great because according to the popcorn research team at the University of Scranton, the hull of the popcorn -- the stuff that gets stuck in your teeth -- is the healthiest part because it has the most polyphenols and fiber.
