A simple test to show if you're at risk for diabetes

Posted: Updated:

Over 11% of adults in this country know they have diabetes. That's more than 25 million people.  It's estimated there are millions more who don't know they have the disease.  That's why the American Diabetes Association has named today: Diabetes Alert Day.  That group is asking everyone to just take a couple minutes to take a simple test online.  The score from your answers will tell you if you are low or high risk for Pre-Diabetes or Type-Two Diabetes.

Dr. Tedd Mitchell, President of the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, will be on HealthWise at Five tomorrow to discuss this issue.  If you have questions for him, call 806-761-4265, or send us a comment on our KCBD Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kcbdnewschannel11.
