Littlefield coach under investigation for misconduct with student

Posted: Updated:

A Littlefield High School coach is being investigated for misconduct with a student. The female coach - who is also a teacher for two different subjects - was put on administrative leave starting March 9th, right before Littlefield's spring break.

KCBD received an anonymous tip on Thursday saying the coach was having an inappropriate relationship with a student. When we contacted Littlefield superintendent Jerry Blakely he confirmed there was investigation, but could not comment on whether the student was a female or male. He also couldn't comment on what exactly is being alleged as the "misconduct" between her and the student.

Blakely says he has involved Littlefield Police, Child Protective Services, the State Board of Educators Certification, and other agencies to assist in the investigation.

This is the coach's first year to coach and teach at Littlefield. Since the investigation is ongoing and no official charges have been filed against her, we are not releasing her name at this time.
