Lubbock Cooper FFA wins statewide contest

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The 55th Annual Plains Cotton Growers meeting took place at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Friday morning.

The meeting included discussion on upcoming farm policy issues from the President and CEO of the National Cotton Council, Mark Crane.

It also featured an award ceremony for the Delta Pine video contest.

Plains Cotton Growers partnered with Delta Pine Cotton Seed for a statewide FFA contest.

Students were asked to create videos about the cotton industry and its importance to their community, and out of all those who entered, the winner was Lubbock Cooper FFA. They were awarded with a check for $2,500 dollars.

That winning video is now being shown as a commercial for Delta Pine Cotton Seed.

If you watch carefully when you see it, you might notice the Euresti twins - Abner's girls, Kiersten and Kelsie are featured with their friend Amanda.
