HealthWise at Five today, Dr. Larry Whitcomb, a surgeon at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, discusses incisionless reflux disease surgery.  They now go through the mouth, and the procedure is more like a wrap surgery.  Patients typically go home the next day, and 70 to 90% don't have to take reflux medication after the surgery.  For more information about the procedure, contact Dr. Whitcomb at TTUHSC.
