Science project detains Dallas flight

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Dallas Love Field Airport was briefly shut down Sunday after a students science project set of a false alarm.

A spokesman for the City of Dallas says a robotic device was found near the cockpit of a Southwest Airlines flight.

Authorities detained 11 passengers including students and their professor.

The students said that they had left their project on the plane by accident.
