The Park Fit Challenge encourages all Lubbockites to get out and get moving!

Each month, the Park Fit Challenge highlights a new park and a new exercise.

If you make it out to Tech Terrace Park, the park of the month, you can enjoy the .61 mile walking track.

While you are there, you can partake in this month's exercise- push-ups. Beginners are advised to start on their knees; those in the intermediate category are encouraged to try traditional push-ups, while those in the advanced category can try decline push-ups on a bench.

"It's a fun program and it's for everyone," said Aimee Ruel, Maxey Community Center Director.

The Park Fit Challenge offers workouts for beginners, intermediate and advanced fitness enthusiasts. For more information you log on to www.playlubbock.com.

We're also hearing emergency crews received several calls from people nearby who are worried the fire could spread to their homes. There is heavy damage to the outside of the building. The Fire Marshal has been called to the scene.  KCBD has a crew on the scene and we will continue to update this story as we receive more information. ...
