Texas Tech Student Charged With Murder - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Texas Tech freshman is in a Harris County Jail Tuesday night, charged with murder.

19-year-old Troy Vincent Andrews is suspected in the shooting death of 21-year-old Jaime Salazar. It happened in Baytown late Thursday night. Baytown Police say the two men argued over a bottle of pills. Salazar's body was then found lying on the side of a road, with a gunshot wound to the chest. Within hours, Andrews was taken into custody in the Houston suburb of Bellaire.

He is now being held on $30,000 bond.
