A Lubbock man has been charged with two felonies after Amarillo police say he attacked an officer with a flattened can.
The Amarillo Globe-News reports that 20-year-old Trevor Smith was charged with aggravated assault of a public servant and resisting arrest with a deadly weapon.
According to the report, someone had called police after they saw Smith wandering around.
When police approached them, he told them he could take their gun and quote "kill them."
That's when he pulled out the makeshift knife and tried to stab police.
He remains behind Randall County bars Wednesday night.
