LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Juquetia Chiles, 27, of Lubbock pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to 18 criminal charges against her including conspiracy to manufacture counterfeit securities.
Chiles' boyfriend, Ashley Jerome Carter, is also charged. Court records say Chiles worked in the Wells Fargo call center in Lubbock. They say she would take customer information to Carter who then would create fake checks. Wells Fargo repaid victims for their loss.
The original criminal complaint against Carter says he would coerce Chiles to cooperate under threat of violence if she refused. But days later Chiles was also charged.
Trial for Chiles is set for May 12.
