T. Boone Pickens is expanding his wind power business here on the South Plains.

Pickens' company, Mesa Power Group, recently announced a partnership with the Stephens Bor-Lynn wind project.

It's about 50 miles south of Lubbock on the Lynn and Borden county line. The wind farm is scheduled for completion in 2013 and when done will generate up to 377 megawatts of electricity.
