74-Yr-Old Files Suit Against LISD For Age Discrimination - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

An age discrimination suit has been filed against the Lubbock Independent School District.

74-year-old Billy B. Reynolds claims the LISD hired less-qualified applicants after he applied for a full time position. Reynolds served as an LISD substitute teacher for three years and has his teaching certificate.

School officials released a statement Thursday announcing that more than 54% of recent hires were over 40 years of age.
