It's their job to protect the city but its your job to let Lubbock Police know how to better serve you. That's why the police department's mobile unit is traveling to Waters Elementary on Friday.

An RV will be parked on the east side of the school at 3006 78th Street during daytime hours on Friday and Saturday. Lubbock Police invite all residents in the area to visit with them about crime prevention or to share any other concerns about the neighborhood.

Sgt Bill Casey with the Lubbock Police Department, "What we're using this for is to come into the neighborhoods and bring the police department and city services to the neighborhood."

The mounted patrol unit will also be on hand Friday and will give demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
