LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A condemned killer was in a Lubbock courtroom to appeal his conviction Thursday.
32-year-old Rosendo Rodriguez says his attorneys did not effectively assist him.
The hearing is expected to continue Friday in front of State District Judge Jim Bob Darnell.
If the judge rejects his claim, Rodriguez can continue his efforts with the criminal court of appeals in Austin.
He was convicted in 2008 for the murder of Summer Baldwin and her unborn child in a Lubbock hotel room in 2005.
