2 lb. lean hamburger
1/4 cup water
2 cans pork & beans
4 slices american cheese
1 med. onion minced
1/4 cup catsup
2 tsp yellow mustard
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 clove minced garlic
Pat hamburger into four patties. Brown burgers and drain any liquid. Mix pork & beans, catsup, mustard and soy sauce together and set aside. Pour the water over the hamburger patties. Add onion and garlic. Cook on medium heat until onion is tender but not completly done. Pour the bean mixture over the patties. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Lay slices of cheese on top. Do not stir. Cover and remove from heat.
Let set 5 minutes before serving.
