Lubbockites Enjoyed Beautiful Sunday

Many people took advantage of Sunday's beautiful weather. As a matter of fact, you could see people working and playing outside all over town.

What a day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the wind wasn't too bad.

Overall, Lubbockites enjoyed Sunday's beautiful conditions:

"It's a beautiful day."

"Oh, it's beautiful weather."

"Just went for a walk and came down to the park to get some sunshine."

Kids were all smiles, swinging and sliding at parks all over town. At the Charles A. Guy Park, it was the smell that drew us in: hamburgers, chicken, and hot dogs.

"We're having a cookout with our church."

"We're just all enjoying a good time together."

Which, of course, included a little football on the side.

"Playing football and playing around with my friends."

Not far away, we found some guys that prefer dribbling to tackling.

"Nothing really, just been working outside in our front yard and shot baskets with my mom earlier."

People waited in long lines at the do-it-yourself car wash.

"I've been working inside mostly, so I came out to wash the car, and I had to wait for a little while, but this is great."
