A Lubbock grand jury indicted Robert Lang Tuesday afternoon for the death of Johnny Lee Smith.

Police say Lang shot smith in early March at the Starlight Apartments in East Lubbock. Lang said he shot Smith in self-defense, but police say his story conflicted with witness reports.
