The Brownfield School District is in need of a new superintendent.
Current Superintendent Joe Charles Harrison is leaving this summer to take over the head job in Ruidoso, New Mexico. He officially starts there July 1st.
He says it was such a great opportunity that he couldn't pass up.
"It was just one of those chance opportunities you don't get to retirement systems. It's a larger system and a stable environment." said Harrison.
Harrison has served as Brownfield superintendent for six years. The school board will start searching for his replacement Monday. They hope to hire someone within six weeks.
